Wendy L. Wright, MS, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, Family Nurse Practitioner

Wendy is a 1992 graduate of the Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and completed a family nurse practitioner post-master’s program in 1995. She is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics within New Hampshire named: Wright & Associates Family Healthcare @ Amherst and @ Concord. In addition, she is the Owner of Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates. She is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year, the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award and in 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; a position held by only 500 other nurse practitioners throughout the country. In October 2014, Wendy was also inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. She is the founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition, she is an Editor for Practice Management – a new e-journal created for NP’s interested in independent practice and practice management. Wendy served as the Chair for the 2014 AANP Conference in Nashville, TN. She presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1000 conferences in 46 states. Wendy is also an Adjunct faculty member at the University of Wyoming – Graduate Nursing Program and in the Simmons College DNP program in Boston. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. Wendy has served a consultant to a number of pharmaceutical companies, medical offices and corporations. She has been a medical media spokesperson for a number of companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. As a family nurse practitioner, she has also served as an expert witness in medical malpractice cases and is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice.

Amy Kennedy, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner

Amy is a New Hampshire native and graduate of Bow High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Vermont in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Given her strong academic record, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In 2015, she graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Amy worked as a Registered Nurse on an adult intensive care unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Amy was a student of Sarah Fischer FNP-BC and Justine Nims-Largy FNP-C during two of her clinical rotations. In her free time, she enjoys taking cake decorating classes and spending time with her family. Amy is recently engaged and planning a wedding for October 2017. She plans to live in Bow with her fiancé Ryan. Amy is very excited to start her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the wonderful team at Wright & Associates Family Healthcare.

Lauren Gifford, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner

Lauren is a New Hampshire native and graduate of Goffstown High School. She graduated in 2011 from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2014, she graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at Simmons College in Boston, MA, receiving a Master of Science in Nursing. She is excited to return to New Hampshire and be able to work locally to give back to her community. Lauren is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Prior to joining Wright & Associates Family Healthcare, Lauren worked as a Registered Nurse at Hanover Hill Health Care Center in Manchester, NH. In addition to working in a Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing facility, she has also worked as a substitute school nurse with preschool and kindergarten students in the Goffstown, NH school district. In her free time, Lauren loves running and biking as well as helping to coach field hockey in the local community. Lauren is very excited to join a team of nurse practitioners and staff members who are dedicated to providing compassionate family healthcare. She is looking forward to working with patients of all ages across the lifespan, and to help them achieve and maintain their health and wellness goals.

Theresa Brisson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner

Theresa graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2012 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation, she began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire on a medical-surgical unit. Most recently, she has worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In 2015, Theresa returned to Simmons College in Boston and graduated in 2018 with a Master of Science in Nursing Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Theresa is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is excited to join a highly experienced team at WAFHC and will be seeing patients in both the Amherst and Concord offices. Theresa looks forward to working with patients of all ages and sharing her passion for research and education. Outside of work, Theresa enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family. Theresa is currently accepting patients of all ages and is looking forward to your referrals.

Jennifer Serafin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer Serafin, APRN, FNP-C is very excited to join the team at Wright and Associates, LLC as a family nurse practitioner. Prior to obtaining her nurse practitioner certification, Jennifer graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1998. She went on to work as a medical surgical nurse for a year and then worked as a cardiac nurse from 2000 until 2018 at local hospitals, most recently at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. She graduated with honors from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer is passionate about providing care for the whole person and protecting vulnerable populations. Her graduate work in her nurse practitioner program was accepted for poster presentation at the Sigma Theta Tau Leadership Convention in 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to a dedication to providing care for the whole person, Jennifer enjoys boating in the summers, caring for her three children, and spending time with her rescue dog. She looks forward to partnering with you and your family to meet your unique health needs while promoting your overall health.
